A HISTORIC castle has is set to unveil a new ‘escape room’ experience.

Hedingham Castle launched its ‘A Magical Mishap’ escape room in spring last year.

The challenge, which sees visitors locked in a room having to solve clues to escape, proved a big hit with visitors.

The castle is now gearing up to open a new challenge – ‘The King’s Lost Jewels’.

is set on the top floor of the castlefor a “completely immersive experience”.

Owner Demetra Lindsay was keen to include part of the castle’s history in a story based around the Magna Carta, which ancestor Robert de Vere signed in 1215.

She added: “I am a firm believer that you learn more when you’re having fun and our brilliant new escape room certainly is that.”

‘The King’s Lost Jewels’ is open from Sunday, February 13, and will run until November and is suitable for ages 10 and above.
