THE eighth and final round of Colne Valley Golf Club's Winter League saw a repeat of the previous round as 23 pairs went up against each other in a combined stableford.
Matt Holbrook and Simon Gugacz once again topped the pile as they hit form at the right time.
Their effort of 71 points was enough to see them edge to victory over Roger Warren and Andy Carter, who scored 70, while Tom Murton and Alex Grimshaw were on 67 points for third spot.
Now all eight round have been completed, the top 16 pairs will be heading into the knockout stage.
Valley men’s seniors were in competitive action for the first time in 2017 and Kerry Flitter’s score of 40 points was enough to see off the 27-strong field. Peter Ragus was second with 38 points and Paul Neal third on 35.
