STANWAY ROVERS made a disappointing start to the new Thurlow Nunn League season.
Angelo Harrop's side were beaten 3-1 at Haverhill Rovers, in their opening premier division match on Tuesday night.
HALSTEAD TOWN made it two wins out of two in division one, thumping AFC Sudbury Reserves 4-0 at Rosemary Lane.
The Humbugs' success came hot on the heels of Saturday's 2-1 victory against Needham Market Reserves.
