HALSTEAD Boxing Club hosted its end-of-season presentation evening.

The club were pleased to welcome many of the boxers' parents, friends and family and a great evening was celebrated by all.

Those boxers who received a trophy or award had worked extremely hard and remained committed and focused throughout the season.

Halstead Boxing Club head coach George Cook said: "The 2015/2016 season has been extremely successful for our junior and senior boxers and it is great to see new talent being nurtured and developed.

"A huge well done to all our boxers for their achievements.

"A big thank you also to local builder Jamie Newton, who kindly donated on the evening framed boxing gloves and a picture of Muhammad Ali against Joe Frazier at Madison Square Garden in March 1971.

"We would also like to say thank you to the kind person, who would like to remain anonymous, for donating a generous amount of money to the club.

"The ongoing support from all our sponsors is critical to the future growth and development of the Halstead Boxing Club.

"We are looking forward to another successful season ahead."

The awards were presented by Halstead Boxing Club president Kurt Manders and Claire Walker from Daniel Robinson and Sons Funeral Directors, Halstead.
