CHAS Gregg was a clear winner of this year's seniors' Memorial Plate competition at the Essex Golf and Country Club.
Following the conclusion of the fourth and final round, 22-handicapper Gregg triumphed with 52 points to edge Rob Chisholm into second place by one point.
In the final round, seniors vice-captain Rob Rayner overcame some very unpleasant conditions to win with 39 points and saw his handicap trimmed from 24 to 22.
Second place went to 11-handicapper Adrian Grubb with 36 points and Gregg took third with 34 points on countback.
Nearest the pin on the fifth hole was Vic Little.
