There was individual and collective glory for the Hedingham School girls’ team at the British Schools Score Orienteering Championships at Chobham Common in Surrey.
The Hedingham team won gold in the Upper Secondary School Girls’ category against stiff competition and there were also some outstanding individual performances.
Daisy Partridge was awarded the individual bronze medal in the year ten/11 girls’ category and in the year 12/13 girls’ category, Laura Smith took the silver medal and Harriet Vinter the bronze.
Along with the trio of medal winners were Chloe Cracknell in fifth, Abi Duncan in eighth and Victoria Love in tenth, while year 11 student Emma Bird took part at her first competitive event.
Year eight student Tilly Turp was sixth in her age event.
