Gosfield athlete Leisha Hunt was in superb late-season form as she shattered a 26-year-old Braintree and District Athletic Club record.
Hunt has worked hard across the combined events this year and broke the club’s long-standing under-13s pentathlon record when she headed to a competition in Exeter.
To set the new level, she ran the 70 metre hurdles in 12.75 seconds, completed a 1.27m high jump, a 4.54m long jump and a 6.99m shot putt, before finishing with a two minute 46.74 run in the 800m for a record-breaking points total of 2,146.
