Current junior captain Louis Brown was an apt winner, alongside his father Robert, of the Junior Bursary Day competition at Gosfield Lake Golf Club.
The Sir Henry Cotton Bursary has been responsible for developing hundreds of young golfers in north west Essex and principally at Gosfield Lake for almost 30 years.
The winners on the Lakes course were the Browns as their combined 74 points took victory from second-placed Chris and Joe Richards, who had 71 points, with Ralph Rowe and Piers Halley third with 69.
On the Meadows course, the winners were Mike Shackell and Rosie Shackell with 36 points on countback from Bill Dawson and Denys Hellary in second and Carole Robinson and Felicity Halley in third.
The event raised £255 and this will be added to the main fundraising at the Sir Henry Cotton Bursary Day on June 5.
