Halstead Town under-tens were left celebrating after they were victorious at a Colchester and District Youth League tournament held at Lawford.
Under the guidance of manager David Press, the Halstead youngsters topped their group with two wins and two draws, before a 4-0 semi-final win that took them into a head-to-head showdown with Frinton and Walton.
The final was a close battle and nothing could split the two teams after extra-time as it stayed goalless. However, Halstead had the edge in the ensuing penalty shootout, with two great saves from keeper Jack Buckle helping them to lift the silverware.
