The final round of the seniors Winter League at the Essex Golf and Country Club ended with Bill Sharpe leading the way with 184 points from his five rounds.
Sharpe was the overall champion with an impressive average of 36.8 per round and added to his cumulative total with another 35 points from the final round.
That was enough to earn the nine-handicapper second on the day as he finished three points behind the final round winner, Ernst Midl, who had 38 points off his 22 handicap.
Third place went to 13-handicapper Jim Duignan with 32 points, while there was further celebration for Sharpe as he claimed nearest the pin honours on the par three fifth hole.
