Simon and Martyn claim win in the Winter League
There were some good scores in the sixth round of Colne Valley Golf Club’s Winter League but Simon Gugacz and Martyn Little topped the lot with a winning 47 points.
The three clubs and a putter betterball stableford format usually produces strong scoring, but no-one could match Gugacz and Little, with Neil Poulson and John Poulson the best of the rest as they took second on countback from Matthew Butler and Allan Beattie with 45 points.
The seniors’ Monthly Stableford resulted in a win for Michael Hoines with 40 points from Peter Swanston in second with 38, on countback, from Eric Thomson.
