Halstead Town manager Mark Benterman is promising changes to his squad as they look to push on towards their Thurlow Nunn League division one promotion goal.
Town head into today’s fixture at Stowmarket Town sitting fifth in the table after their 2-1 win against Braintree Town Reserves on Tuesday.
Benterman is pleased with the position they have got themselves into, however, he feels he needs to inject some new faces into the squad as he hasn’t been happy with his team’s lack of consistency in recent weeks.
He said: “We’re fifth with a couple of games in hand, but I feel as if we haven’t really started the season yet.
“We just need to find more consistency and push on so I will be looking to freshen things up with a few new faces in the next week or so.
“One of those is (striker) Kal Harms, who has been released by FC Clacton.
“We had him on loan here a few weeks ago but he was released by Clacton and he’s joined permanently with us now.
“It’s a great move for us as I rate him very highly and it won’t be the last as I’ll be looking to bring in one or two more as well.
“Expectations have gone up at Halstead because of what we’ve achieved in the last few years and we have to meet those expectations.”
