Manager Jim Holder believes new assistant boss Andrew Charles can become a key asset at Halstead Town.
The coach has just been appointed and will work with the club’s management and players during pre-season – training started last night – and next season’s campaign.
Town had been looking to appoint a new assistant to replace Luke Hughes, who stepped down last term.
And Holder has a “gut instinct” the club have made a sound appointment in recruiting Charles.
“He’s very enthusiastic, has a good background in coaching and is undoubtedly the right man for the job,” he said.
