Colchester United have completed the loan signing of Ipswich Town striker Jack Marriott.
And the U’s are also hoping to further bolster their forward options with the addition of an experienced striker in the coming days.
Marriott, who is out of contract at Town at the end of the season, has put pen to paper on a loan deal with Colchester.
The deal will keep him at the Weston Homes Community Stadium until the end of the current campaign, although Town do have a 24-hour recall clause on the player.
The 20-year-old’s arrival is part of an agreement made between the U’s and Ipswich following Freddie Sears’ move between the two clubs last week.
