Witham Town boss Garry Kimble has high hopes that Josh Mayhew will make an easy transition as he steps up two levels to play in the Ryman League premier division next season.

The 23-year-old had signed for Ryman League division one north new boys Brightlingsea Regent after being at Hadleigh United in the Thurlow Nunn League premier division last season, but has now accepted the chance to join Witham.

It means he will step up two levels rather than just one in the non-league football pyramid, but Kimble is sure he will handle the elevation well.
