It's judgement day for Colchester United’s academy.
The U’s are set to find out today whether or not they have been recommended for sought-after Category Two status for their youth set-up.
Colchester narrowly missed out on taking their place among the country’s elite academies last year, after they failed to make the necessary grade.
But following improvements to the academy, which was assessed by auditors over a four-day in April, they are hopeful that this time they will get the green light.
