Ghyllgrove nursing home in Basildon hosted a old-fashioned seaside day for its residents packed with nostalgic features.
Residents at the care home were treated to tombolas, cake stalls, a BBQ and even a production of the classic seaside show Punch & Judy.
There were also activities for children, with seaside-style donkey rides and raffles where cuddly toys could be won.
Kay Thompson, who was supervising the event at Ghyllgrove care home, said: "It was a great summer fete day where we brought back the old fashioned seaside style, bringing in things like Punch & Judy and donkey rides."
"The car park was absolutely rammed and there were cars parked outside."
"It was one of the best events we we have had in a while."
In attendance were 40 to 50 people and a lot of them came with a speciality.
There were cake decorators, BBQ supervisors and even a lady selling handmade pillows.
Asda were also there supporting the event.
This is not the only positive thing to come out of Ghyllgrove nursing home as they recently achieved a 'Good' rating from the Care Quality Commission.
The seaside fun-day took place on Saturday August 12.
