DIGITAL technology will be discussed at a business briefing next month.

The informative event, run by Southend Council, will focus on the future use of digital technology in the borough, including an update on the exciting dark fibre 50km highway currently being developed to provide ultra-fast network connectivity to Southend Speakers on the day include Rob Tinlin, chief executive of Southend Council, who will provide a comprehensive update on the latest developments, as well as speakers from CityFibre and OneCom.

Ann Holland, councillor for culture, tourism and the economy, said: “This is a great opportunity to see how Southend is using new technology to maximise potential across the borough.

“The development being led by City Fibre and One Com will help create new investment, increase opportunities for business and provide a real boost to the local economy by providing ultra-fast network connectivity. Attend this event to find out much more and how it can improve your business.”

The briefing will take place at South Essex College on Wednesday, March 8 from 7am to 10am.
