A VANGE film maker has shed new light on Leigh by taking a video from the air at sunrise.
Daniel Keys made his way to the Old Town with his DGI Phantom II drone quadcopter at 4am to capture the sun rising over the fishing village, taking in the mud flats at low tide, moored cockling boats and St Clement’s Church.
The 22-year-old from Windere has also taken short films of St Nicholas Church in Basildon, Hadleigh Castle, and the Queen Elizabeth II bridge, but wanted to capture Leigh because it was a “lovely place” he frequently walks his dog.
He said views of the film “exploded” on video website Vimeo last week, and it has so far been seen more than 7,000 times, prompting commissions from church wardens at St Peter’s and St Michael’s in Thundersley and St Mary’s in Grays.
