ABOUT 150 flat owners have been spared £1,200 bills after a developer agreed to repair leaky apartment block roofs.
Weston Homes has told the leaseholders of flats and homes in Caelum Drive, in Colchester’s Hythe, it will “ensure all issues, past or present, will be remediated”.
The decision was made after several residents at the flagship regeneration development complained of leaking rainwater and other issues after the properties were built in 2008.
At least one apartment has been left uninhabitable.
