POLICE are hunting a man who stole four palm-top computers worth £8,000 from a supermarket office.

The thief was caught on CCTV in the staff area of the Tesco Express on Barfield Road, West Mersea shortly before 2:30pm on Saturday, March 16.

He got away with four mini-computers issued to Tesco staff, known as personal digital assistants, or PDAs.

The thief is described as white, aged in his late teens or early 20s and is approximately 5ft 9ins tall.
