BUDDING footballers from a village primary school have been given a chance to hone their skills with a set of brand new footballs.

Pupils at Chappel Primary School received the donation from Football Fun Days owner Daniel Mather, who runs football camps at the school during holiday periods.

Mr Mather was invited in to a school assembly to present the school with the donation.

He said: “It's fantastic to be able to give something back to the local community and to the children.

“When I put it on my Facebook about giving away the balls I had many people vote for Chappel Primary School.

“I make many donations every year but felt Chappel was another right choice as many of the children go to the camps - the school made me feel so welcome.”

A spokesman for Chappel Primary School said: “The children are going to enjoy the footballs in the warmer months during break time and lunch time.”
