RESIDENTS can now sign up to a new defibrillator scheme.
A group of residents in White Colne have received training on how to use the defibrillator in the telephone box in Colchester Road.
One of the issues which arose from the training is how people access this if they are at home looking after a person who is ill and can not be left.
The parish council has agreed to sign up to a scheme called VETS, Village Emergency Telephone System, which enables up to ten residents to be contacted by phone and asked to collect the defibrillator.
If you were trained, or if you would like to be and also included in this scheme, email Jim Bond at jim@jimbond.me.uk or phone 01787 224310.
