A dad is thrilled to have his finished mosaic displayed in the porch of Chelmsford Cathedral.
Peter Harrington, who is in his 50s, was asked to create the 6ft by 4.5ft mosaic in November after they were impressed by how he involves the community in his work.
Mr Harrington, father to Elisha, 16, and Ben, 13, said that about 150 people were involved in the making of the mosaic.
He said: “There were people from Maltings Pottery Class, Halstead Swimming Club, people from Crossways Church and just people walking past.
“I would work on it in my garage and as people went past they would seem interested so I would ask them if they wanted to place a tile and they were always very keen.”
