Bell ringers at a church played their part in a national celebration to mark the beginning of the Olympic Games.
People gathered at St Nicolas Church, on Chipping Hill, Witham, on Friday morning to make as much noise as possible.
As well as church bell ringers, residents came along with their own handheld chimes to mark the occasion.
About 50 people, young and old, gathered in the church yard to participate in the national peal of bells.
