Police are appealing for witnesses after a barman was hit with a pool cue and snooker balls.
The incident happened in The Independent in Market Place, Braintree, at about 8.30pm last night.
A police spokesman said: "The victim was struck with a pool cue and snooker balls and received cuts and grazes to his head. He was treated in hospital but was not detained.
"Detectives have appealed for any witnesses to come forward and they want to hear from anyone with information about an orange van and a white pick-up truck that left the area shortly after the incident."
