Worried parents are struggling to find a special flu vaccine for their son, who has a serious egg allergy.

Simon and Michelle Edney are desperately searching for an egg-free version of the flu vaccine for their seven-year-old son Marshall.

Marshall, who goes to St Andrew’s Primary School, Halstead, also suffers from asthma, putting in the at risk category.

Mr Edney said the couple approached Halstead’s Elizabeth Courtauld Surgery last week, only to be told the egg-free vaccine was not available.
