A young inventor has won a national competition inspired by Wallace and Gromit.

Finn Collinson, 12, beat nearly 9,000 entrants to win the top prize in the Wallace and Gromit Cracking Ideas competition, run by the Intellectual Property Office.

The youngster from Greenstead Green designed an alarm system called Alarming Results, which would alert everyone in a street if there was a fire or a neighbour had a problem.
