An ex-military man, trained in aircraft recognition, believes he saw a UFO while out walking his dog.
Richard Gogin was with his dog, Rommel, in the Marks Hall grounds, Coggeshall, when he saw a triangular shape in the sky.
Mr Gogin of Sible Hedingham spotted the shape at about 6pm on Friday.
He said: “I was calling my dog and just above him I saw a white hot triangular shape.
“It was moving extremely fast.
“I tracked it for about four seconds and it disappeared as if someone turned off a light switch.
“I have never seen an aircraft move like that.”
The 35-year-old, who lives in Hawkwood Road with his wife Nicola, spent about a decade in the Army Air Corps.
