A “WARM and welcoming” school which is “like its own little community” continues to be rated good in a report from Ofsted.

Holy Trinity Primary School, in Halstead, was given plenty of positive feedback after its latest inspection.

When judged good, Ofsted usually follows up about once every four years to confirm the school remains good in an ungraded inspection.

Lead inspector Michael Williams said: “Pupils are happy and safe at this warm and welcoming school, which is ‘like its own little community’.

“Pupils behave very well during their lessons and when they are playing together on the school playground.”

The inspection also recognised the highly respectful attitude and resilience to learning the children show at the school.

It mentions the new inspirational opportunities the headteacher has implemented such as the themed days, visiting speakers and unique international exchanges.

The report quotes “a wide range of exciting opportunities for pupils’ wider development” and “many opportunities for pupils to experience things, people and places that they might not otherwise have the chance to do”.

Children across the school were reported to “love reading”, experiencing “diverse, high-quality texts”.

Headteacher Sarah Rowe said: “As the new headteacher, I have been delighted to receive this glowing report which highlights all the positive aspects of Holy Trinity.

“Everyone puts their heart and soul into the education offered at our friendly and welcoming school and therefore it is most rewarding to receive a report that reflects the drive for very high standards not only for academic progress but in behaviour and attitudes.

“It was pleasing for the inspection to note that staff and parents were overwhelmingly positive about the school which has made me incredibly proud as the headteacher.

“It was also noted that there is a real confidence in the leadership which is testimony to the positive relationships that have been developed at the school.

“Alongside my dedicated and caring team, I am committed to continuing to offer our pupils a high quality, enriching curriculum for all the pupils in our school community.

“It really is a fantastic school with exciting plans for the future.”
