ELVIS fans will be in seventh heaven when a high-octane show featuring more than 20 of his greatest hit songs comes to the stage.

It’s now or never as award-winning youth musical theatre group Witham Operatic Workshop return with All Shook Up – a musical packed with chart-busting tunes from the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll.

The heartwarming, hip-swivelling, lip-curling, musical fantasy will have fans jumping out of their blue suede shoes with such classics as Heartbreak HotelHound DogJailhouse Rock and Don’t Be Cruel.

Wow chairman Steve Rogers says audiences can’t help falling in love with the show.

Mamma Mia was all about Abba songs – well, All Shook Up is all about Elvis songs and there are 24 of them in the show,” he said.

“The plot is basically Twelfth Night by Shakespeare.

“A guy called Chad turns up in town on his motorbike with a guitar on his back and all the girls are swooning over him.

“Natalie, who runs the mechanics shop with her father, falls in love with Chad but realises the only way she is going to get him is by being one of his mates so she dresses up as a boy and becomes Ed.”

Jenson Bacon stars as Chad, with Rhianna Gregory as Natalie, and Will Hackett, who has now notched up six Wow productions, playing Dennis.

The group’s last show was 2022’s Guys and Dolls which won them a best regional youth production award from the National Operatic and Dramatic Association.

Steve said: “All Shook Up is a West End quality production with 12-piece orchestra and professional sound and lighting.

“They are all local kids from Witham and Maldon.

“They have been rehearsing for six months and people are going to love it.

“It’s a brilliant show and a very funny script.”
