A NEWLY-TURNED 100-year-old celebrated her milestone as part of a club’s anniversary celebrations.
Dorothy Rayner, from Halstead, turned 100 on February 15.
She celebrated her birthday at the Halstead Age Concern Social Club as it held its 23rd annual party celebration.
Club members were treated to live music, bingo and food and drink.

Dorothy, who has been going to the club since its first meeting, celebrated her milestone surrounded by friends, who surprised her with many gifts and cards.
Committee member David Tarbun has been part of the group for 12 years.
He said: “As part of our party, we did do some surprises for her.
“She knew she was coming to an anniversary party, but we made it more special for her and put up happy birthday notices.”
