Charisma Gymnastic Club has once again proved to be a force to be reckoned with in high-class competiton, despite its limited facilities.
In the Regional Grading Championships, held at the Heathrow Gymnastic Club, three of the four Charisma girls entered and secured places to represent the London region in the National Championships being held in Kettering on April 28.
Taylor Eden competed in grade 2 and was beaten into second place by just 0.05 of a point.
In grade 3, Yasmin Smith was first with club-mate Natasha Peake second, while Natalie Greenidge came 12th.
In the grade 6 level category, Lewisham's Jolene McIlwraith came an amazing seventh out of 50 gymnasts, with Georgina Rainbow and Lauren Brandford close behind.
The youngest gymnasts, some only seven, all passed their first grade with smiles as big as ever from Bromley-based pair Emily Cook and Shannon Mitchell, plus Lewisham's Katherine Thornton.
Another of Charisma's finest, Francnesca Cadoni, took part in the British Schools' Championships as part of the London team, when she scored her highest-ever mark on the bars.
Gina Thompson, Charisma's senior coach, said: "This really does emphasis Charisma's philosophy, wth happiness and enjoyment breeding success.
"Charisma has two gymnasts who will be competing in the British Championships later this year which, considering, their limited training hours, is truly unbelievable."
