Hedingham school students spoke of their relief and excitement after learning their A-level exam results.

Many pupils will now be heading off to universities throughout the country to further their education.

Top performer Felicity Coulson admitted it had been an anxious wait for her results. She said: “I didn’t really sleep much last night, I ended up going for a walk in my pyjamas this morning.

“I was very surprised when I found out and just relieved in some ways.”

Fellow student Tommy Jones added: “I’m over the moon, I’ve been waiting around for a while. I’m excited to go to university. The exams were hard but I couldn’t have tried harder.”

Others also admitted the tough exams had led to a feeling of uncertainty.

Olly Nourse said: “I am delighted really because it was hard. It’s probably been the hardest year of my life.

“I’m excited to do veterinary at university, it’s always something I have wanted to do.”

Ben Buchanan added: “I’m relieved more than anything. I didn’t think I would do as well as I have because the exams were quite hard.

“There were a lot of nerves last night.”
