Halstead's mayor has heaped praise on the volunteers who have helped prepare the town for this year’s Anglia in Bloom.
Andrew Munday says the number of residents getting involved in this year’s bid to be crowned best town shows the strength of community in Halstead.
Mr Munday will join town councillors and the In Bloom volunteers in welcoming the judges this morning.
He said: “I would like to thank the Halstead in Bloom team for the fantastic effort made by all of their volunteers to make our town look so beautiful.
“I would also like to thank all of the other groups, businesses, schools and individuals in our community that create their own displays, and by doing so show the depth of community spirit that Halstead has to offer.
"The amazing floral displays create a lasting impression on all the visitors to Halstead. I wish the team every success and am privileged to be a part of the Anglia in Bloom judging day.”
