A popular family music event will return to a village next month.

Wethersfield Music Festival is taking place once again this year on the playing fields off High Street.

As many as nine different bands are lined up to perform live music, including artists such as Disraeli Band, Beyond the Lights, Ella Hayes, The Stents and Poontang.

The family friendly event will also have other activities on offer such as inflatables for the kids.

All money raised on the day will go towards Prostate Cancer UK.

Organiser Matt Suckling said: “As it’s our fifth anniversary year we’re hoping that everyone will come along and celebrate with us to make it our best year yet, the support has always been brilliant since day one and we look forward to raising even more money for another worthy cause.”

Entry to the festival is free and it will run from noon until 10pm on Saturday, June 2.
