A bowls club has donated hundreds of pounds to one of Essex's most important services.
Courtaulds Halstead bowls club presented a cheque for £600 to the Essex and Herts Air Ambulance having raised money during a variety of fundraising events held in 2017.
Club chairman Tony Jones was on hand to present the cheque to paramedic Phil Almond, along with ladies club captain Joan Howlett, Dr Ilana Delray Buelles and administrator Roger Smith.
The bowls clubs hosts events such as a ladies gala day and chairman's charity day every year in order to raise money for its chosen charities.
The club chairman Mr Jones will decide which charities the bowls club will be raising money for this year in the coming weeks.
