The Halstead community has teamed up and raised thousands of pounds for charity.
Three coffee mornings were held last Friday in a bid to provide funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.
The Halstead branch of Richard Edwards Group LLP ran one of the coffee mornings from their offices in the Maltings and raised £1750.
The Acorn Centre in Beridge Road and Halstead WI members hosted the other two events but have yet to disclose their totals from the morning.
Town mayor Shirley Diver was able to make her way to all three and praised the support shown by residents.
She said: "They were all very well attended and the photos taken from the day don't do it justice. There were loads of people there.
"Everyone made such an effort and worked so hard to raise funds for such a great cause.
"We had mothers from the surrounding villages attend the one at the Acorn Centre which was lovely to see and all the cakes on offer were delicious."
