POLICE have identified the man who died following a crash on the M11.
Andrew Brett, 61, of Alexandra Road, Sible Hedingham, sadly died at the scene of the collision on the northbound carriageway near Birchanger on Wednesday.
Mr Brett died after his van struck the central reservation barrier before it left the road and collided with a tree.
The police are treating the death as suspicious because a piece of concrete was found to have struck his windscreen.
But detectives have established the concrete, the size of a house brick, was not thrown from a bridge or the roadside.
Police continue to ask for who was driving in the area at around 4.50pm, particularly anyone with dash cam footage.
