A SOCIAL media star is travelling the country thanking police for their efforts during terror attacks in Manchester and London.

Josh Clayden, from Silver End, visited London and the north of the country following the attack during an Ariana Grande concert at Manchester Arena and another at London Bridge.

Josh, 18, former pupil at New Rickstones Academy in Witham, made a name for himself making videos on online service YouNow and by appearing in various music videos, including one by Britain’s Got Talent act Bars and Melody.

As a social media influencer, he thanked the emergency services and members of the public who helped during the attacks.

He said: "I feel absolutely disgusted and upset about the actions that have taken place in London and Manchester, as I attend these sorts of events every day.

"Having a small supportive fan base I understand how singer Ariana Grande felt about the situation that took place at her gig.

"My heart and love goes out to every single person affected and I would like to thank all the responsive emergency teams who work hard to keep us all safe and sound."

A total of 22 victims died following the bombing by Salman Abedi in Manchester on May 22. Nineteen people have been arrested over the bombing - 12 have been released without charge.

American singer Ariana Grande joined other artists in a tribute concert for the victims on June 4.

Seven people were killed and nearly 50 others injured when three terrorists went on the rampage in the London terror attack on June 3. The attackers ploughed into pedestrians on London Bridge before stabbing people in Borough Market.

A vigil was held in London on June 5 to commemorate the victims.
