IT was music to the ears of staff at a Colchester nursery school when they found out they were the lucky winners of a concert piano.
Abacus Early Learning, based at Braiswick Primary School, in Apprentice Drive, was one of 21 lucky groups across the country to pick up the instrument.
The instruments had been used at a festival of music at Cambridge Cathedral and were kept as prizes by retailers Millers Music and More than 270 organisations had entered the competition.
Sue Triscott, nursery manager, said: "The children were over the moon when they found it and quite excited.
"It will be a great addition to the nursery and we hope some of the children will take it up as an instrument."
