Firefighters to take part in charity race
HALSTEAD firefighters are swapping their helmets for Spartan armour to raise money for charity.
The crew at Halstead fire station is raising funds for the Firefighter Charity and The Motor Neurone Disease Association.
They will take part in a Spartan race on April 8 in Sevenoaks.
Organiser Dave Theobald who has completed the race before said it will be a challenge.
He said: "All fire fighters are physically fit and will be able to cope with the five mile sprint, but it packs more than 20 signature Spartan obstacles along the way and this will be the challenge."
