MP James Cleverly has visited Halstead Hospital, meeting staff and patients, as well as taking a tour of the facilities.
The MP for Braintree visited the hospital, on Hedingham Road, last month, alongside Provide Chairman Derrick Louis.
A range of services are available at Halstead Hospital including outpatient clinics, physiotherapy and a 20-bedded community.
James Cleverly MP for Braintree said: “I really enjoyed meeting the staff and management at Halstead hospital, they are clearly passionate about the service they deliver.
"But the high point of the visit was chatting to the patients who were full of praise for the local hospital and the care that they were receiving.”
Many of the hospital's services, including the community ward, are run by Provide, a community interest company that delivers health and care services across Essex, Cambridge, Peterborough and outer north east London.
Chairman Mr Louis said: "It is always a pleasure to meet our front-line staff and to learn more about the day-to-day running of our services.
"We were given an extensive tour of the hospital and I was impressed by the warm and welcoming atmosphere and pleased to be able to talk to a number of patients, who all spoke highly of the care they received.”
