A ROAD has now been reopened following an outbuilding fire.
Church Road in Greenstead Green was initially closed close to St James The Great church because of the fire but has now been reopened.
Firefighters were called to reports of a fire involving an outbuilding which is used as a wood store.
The fire service dispatched two crews from Halstead, two from Braintree and one from Coggeshall at 3.38am this morning.
When crews arrived they reported the fire was also affecting the upper floors and roof space of a detached house, and had spread to a neighbouring property.
The fire was extinguished by 7.52am and an investigation will be carried out to establish the cause of the fire.
