An unsafe care home, which left residents in soiled bed sheets, dirty chairs and at risk of infection, has set up an action plan to implement improvements.
Attwoods Manor, in Braintree Road, Halstead, was deemed “inadequate” by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) last month, after inspectors heard that one resident hadn’t had a bath for two weeks because staff were too busy.
When inspectors visited in January, they found poor standards of hygiene throughout the home, there were not enough staff to help residents efficiently and some residents said they wanted to “go home”.
Golden Age Management, which runs the home, was instructed to submit an action plan to the CQC to document how they would improve the concerns that were raised in the report.
