The mother of a 23-year-old man who was brutally glassed while at a town centre pub has praised his friends and paramedics for saving his life.
Bradley Keefe was in the Bull pub in Market Place on Saturday night when a man reportedly threw a glass at his face, severing an artery.
Mr Keefe’s friend Adam Ryan then flagged down a passing ambulance outside the pub and he was taken to Broomfield hospital for emergency treatment, leaving him with 30 stitches to the three-inch cut to his head.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the attack which happened at around midnight inside the pub.
