A pub has called last orders for the final time after a night of live music and celebration.
The Woodman Inn, Colchester Road, is due to be converted into a convenience store after being sold by owners Punch Tavern.
Tenant Shaun Redfern said: “We had a really good night, it was absolutely packed. We had a really blinding gig.
“The regulars were quite emotional, a lot of them have become good friends over the time I’ve been there.
Regular Jenny Coleman, 51, of Saxon Close, said: “I can’t quite believe it at the moment, it’s a big blow. I don’t know where we are going to go now."
