Residents have been left furious after flowers were destroyed by vandals.
Gaynor Preston, 46, of Ozier Field, Halstead, was working to work when she noticed that about 15 flowers had been uprooted from a flower bed outside the library.
The Sainsbury’s worker said: ”The flowers had just been pulled out and kicked about from what it looked.
“I think this was just sad to see as I'd recently seen the Halstead in Bloom Team put in all the hard work for the lovely displays.
“Why do people feel they need to destroy things?”
