A man has been left unable to sleep at night after confronting a burglar in his hallway.

The 43-year-old returned home from work to discover a young man had smashed the front door of his house using a rock.

The homeowner, who lives in Queens Street, Sible Hedingham, chased the burglar, who escaped with little more than £4.
