A man who won Pain UK’s Pain Champion Award 2014 will give a free health talk on Wednesday.
Pete Moore, who has been actively promoting active self-management of pain for the last 20 years, will give the talk jointly with Dr Roy Miller, a consultant in anaesthesia and pain management at Colchester Hospital University NHS Foundation Trust.
Their talk – Pain: What is it, how can I live with pain and how can I self-manage it? – will be held at 6.30pm, at Queens Hall, Chipping Hill, Head Street, Halstead.
Mr Moore lived with back pain for many years before attending a pain management course which showed him what he could do to find relief and regain control.
